Cornfield Project for Oldham Metropolitan Borough
In October 2003, Aquacast International successfully completed the construction of the cornfield bridge retaining wall in the village of Diggle near Saddelworth, serving three functions:
- to stop erosion
- support loading of the bridge
- hold the upper bank from sliding
After previous unsuccessful attempts, Oldham Borough commissioned Aquacast International to design and construct the retaining wall using Aquacast V Block system. The construction was successfully completed in 12 days without adverse impact to the natural environment.
Oldham Metropolitan have expressed their complete satisfaction for good achievement.
